Copacking Services
ABCD invented pods and pod packaging technology in the 1950's. K. Cyrus Melikian, our founder, pioneered the development of automatic vending machines that used pods to deliver fresh brewed coffee on demand.
ABCD custom builds its own pod packaging equipment. Our equipment has been thoroughly tested, producing virtually billions of pods over the years. We can package approximately 3600 pods/hour in continuous perforated tapes, ready for easy bagging. ABCD's equipment can produce various sizes to match your requirements, in both hard and soft pods.
ABCD is not a roaster. We do not compete with our customers, we co-pack for clients all over the world. Our clients think of us as their Pod Packaging Department. Our facilities are conveniently located in suburban Philadelphia.
ABCD stays ahead of the curve. We are constantly expanding and improving our equipment in order to meet the growing demands for filtered and espresso coffee pods. ABCD's MPE 888 Granulizer grinds enough espresso beans to produce over 60,000 pods per hour! Pods are hermetically sealed and nitrogen flushed to insure a fresh cup every time.
